Mo tenei turanga - about the roleWorking within the Equipment & Logistics Directorate, the Manager Asset Strategy & Data Assurance is responsible for leading a team to ensure Fire and Emergency's equipment assets are efficient, cost-effective and safe and align with agreed organisational outputs, goals and strategies.Reporting to the Manager Equipment & Logistics Capability, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining asset management plans and capability management plans, operational equipment policy development and implementation, compliance monitoring, and assurance and information analytics to drive sound operational and business decisions. You will have four direct reports to mentor and lead as part of developing and implementing a centre of excellence for asset data, information and analysis across Fire and Emergency, supporting Fleet, Property and ICT directorates. Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role:Bring your proven experience within a similar function preferably in a first responder emergency services or operational service delivery environment. You will have managed a diverse range of equipment assets and be familiar with enterprise resource planning, and asset information and management systems. You will have experience in developing long-term budgets, writing, collating and promulgating asset management plans and the ability to develop these into more detailed capability management plans for our circa 30 operational capabilities that our equipment assets support. You will have strong thinking and analytical skills with sound commercial and financial acumen. With your strong organisational and relationship skills, you will be comfortable proactively addressing and solving complex equipment management issues in a timely manner, and managing teams to deliver their best in a complex and fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
