Manager Legal Aid Providers Legal Aid Services Wellington Te Haeata/The Opportunity The Manager Legal Aid Providers is a senior operational management role, responsible for leading the strategic development and establishment of new services and the ongoing improvement of existing services.
The position is responsible for the strategic work programme and manages and implements improvements across the business, focussing on both short- and long-term objectives.
The role is also responsible for the strategic oversight of complaints and enduring quality services.
The role requires you to build and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the judiciary and work collaboratively with the Legal Aid Services leadership team to lead, change and drive the strategic direction of legal aid services and the wider Ministry.

O pukenga/Skills and Experience To be successful, you will need: * Significant leadership experience, preferably in an operational, service delivery environment * Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop leaders and teams * Experience in strategic management and ability to deliver on a strategic work programme * Passion for delivering outstanding service with a strong focus on continuous improvement and outcomes * Strong relationship management across all organisation levels * Have experience as a leader, agile in response to changing priorities and ambiguous operational environments.

The role is based at the Justice Centre in Wellington.
The legal aid providers team is responsible for the quality assurance framework for lawyers delivering legal aid services across Aotearoa.
The team leads the management and administration of provider approvals and contracts and is also responsible for monitoring and auditing the delivery of legal aid services.
Together with colleagues across the wider Legal Aid Services business unit, we support people using or accessing the justice system.

Utu a-tau/Salary The appointing salary for this role will be between $147,972 and $191,782 based on skills and experience.
