Our Council is seeking an experienced Information Services Manager to lead and align our Information Services (IS) functions with our strategic goals, ensuring they support our community now and into the future.
As the Information Services Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our council's IS strategy. You'll lead a dedicated team, drive digital innovation, and ensure our information services are agile, resilient, and aligned with our long-term goals. Your strategic insight and technical expertise will be crucial as we enhance our digital infrastructure, strengthen cyber resilience, and deliver meaningful outcomes for our council and community.
This is a fulltime permanent position based in our main offices in Marton.
He aha te mahi| What you will doDevelop, review, and execute councils Information Services (IS) strategy, providing strategic guidanceEffectively lead direct reports by developing capability through coaching, mentoring, development planning, and actively sharing knowledge and expertiseDevelop and oversee IS budget and provide guidance on Technology investments, budget allocation and resource planning.Oversee delivery of IS projects and assignmentsOversee contract negotiations with IS vendors, contractors, and service providersEnsure cyber resilience and compliance with data protection guidelinesEnsure the identification, evaluation, mitigation and monitoring of Information Management, Digital Infrastructure and Departmental risksKo wai to Pukeka| What you will bringTertiary degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experienceProject Management qualification or relevant experience with the application of methodologiesProven ability to lead, motivate and supervise a technologically diverse teamDemonstrable experience in risk identification, mitigation, Information Technology project managementFinancial management / analysis experiencePersonalised career and development plansTraining opportunitiesTailored wellness benefits
