We are 100% New Zealand-owned and operated and a proud member of the Talley's Group; New Zealand's leading exporter of meat, dairy, seafood, and vegetable products.Job DescriptionAFFCO Wairoa currently has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Planner to join their engineering team.Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Planner will monitor general maintenance for all departments, coordinate contractors, source quotes for projects, monitor the R&M log controls, and liaise with Supervisors to ensure that production requirements are met.Responsibilities include:Planning all R&M jobs and ensuring appropriate parts are availablePurchase order completion for the trades departmentContractor Management, ensuring all liability agreements and insurance details are kept up to dateManage electrical and mechanical inventory ensuring stock levels are maintainedInvoice/packing slip/PO reconciliation for paymentOrdering all partsOversee and manage compliance register and installation of MEX completed for the Trades DepartmentThe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:Strong leadership skills, ability to build an engaged team and effectively delegate tasksAbility to minimise production downtimeStrong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesExtensive prior maintenance experience in an industrial environmentA mechanical trade qualification (electrical knowledge would be an advantage)Comfortable working with modern CMMS systemsPrevious experience with MEX would be an advantageThe successful candidate will be rewarded with:A supportive, well-established preventative maintenance teamThe ability to make the role their own and autonomously manage day-to-day operationsA wide variety of responsibilities, balanced between computer and hands-on workOpportunities for career development and advancementCompetitive remuneration packageAdditional InformationIf you believe you are the right person to take on this opportunity, please apply online today, or come in and see us at our plant at 71 Hunter Brown Street, Wairoa 4108.
