Please be aware that this role is based at our Hawera site in Taranaki - we require the successful candidate to be based there, or near, and work full-time on site.We are looking for motivated and skilled Maintenance Fitters/Engineers to join our engineering team who are crucial to keep our production running in a challenging, dynamic food production environment.You will be joining a team on the up and play a key role in implementing our vision for our Hawera site. In return, we offer competitive pay rates, OT allowances and great training/development opportunities.Our site operates both day and evening shifts Monday to Friday as well as occasional overtime on weekends.Roster/Hours:Monday to Friday with occasional OT across weekendsShift Times: 5am-2pm, 7am-4pm, 4pm-1amThe successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:Relevant Trades Qualification (Level 4 Mechanical Diagnostics Engineer or Trade Qualified Fitter/ Turner)Good knowledge of sound engineering principles and repairs and maintenance procedures on a large industrial processing site - or a passion to learn in this environment.Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner and communicate this with those around you.Be self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a tight-knit team of engineering specialists.Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a challenging engineering environment.Desire to keep learning and upskill - be this in a leadership scope or dual trading into other facets of the production engineering environment.Comfortable being on a roster-based shift pattern in a red meat processing environment.If you are interested in using your mechanical skills on a large industrial food processing site, and like the idea of working for one of New Zealand's largest food exporters, we look forward to hearing from you.To apply online, click on Apply below to submit your application.
