As our Logistics Support Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that DOC predator control teams have the supplies and equipment they need to be successful. This means coordinating the flow of toxins, traps, helicopters, contractors, and equipment to remote locations all over New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities Coordinating delivery of supplies, equipment, and materials to remote field locations
Managing contracts and processing invoices for service providers and contractors
Supporting DOC staff and contractors in predator control operations across New Zealand
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements in transportation and logistics
Identifying and implementing process improvements in logistical planning
Maintaining accurate records and problem solving when things don't go to plan
Minimum Requirements If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you:
Excellent relationship management and communication skills
Strong organisational and planning abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Knowledge of predator control best practices and DOC internal standards
Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Familiarity with health and safety protocols in field operations
Basic understanding of te reo and tikanga Maori
Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes
Full New Zealand Driver's Licence
