Duration: Permanent
Approximate pay: $35 - $45 per hour
Description Our growing business located in Wanaka is seeking experienced automotive light vehicle mechanics to join us. We operate a diverse workshop, servicing a range of areas in the industry. This position offers attractive remuneration, working as a valued member of a friendly team with opportunity for growth. We have a great Christmas shut down period, and do not work weekends or public holidays.
The successful applicant will:
Thrive working both as an individual and as part of a busy team
Hold a current Vehicle Inspector Certificate of Appointment or be willing to obtain this
Maintain a high standard of work under pressure
Have a positive attitude
The core responsibilities for this role include:
Servicing and repairs on all makes and models of cars, 4wd's, light commercial vehicles, and trailers
Performing WOF inspections (if qualified)
Supervision and training of apprentices
Communicating with customers
Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components
Performing scheduled maintenance services
