Details of the offer

About Us
Our diverse communities make Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt a place of excitement and opportunity. Come join us at Hutt City Council where, as connectors, creators and leaders, we are supporting our neighbourhoods to become the architects of their future.

About the Role
In this role, you would be working with the team to ensure we provide the best aquatic experience for our customers. Our facilities operate seven days a week, which means you'd need to work on a rostered basis, including early, late, and weekend shifts.
This key role requires you to lead a team of lifeguards to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. We're looking for someone who has the ability to effectively lead a team, is customer-driven, and can meet tight timeframes.
This role will be working at Te Ngaengae Pool + Fitness when it opens.

About You
You will have a current Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate and First Aid Certificate. Ideally, you will be an experienced Lifeguard looking to take the first step into your leadership journey.
We're looking for great potential lifeguards who can think on their feet, ensuring we're meeting the ever-changing needs of our customers. You'll need to be a team player and great communicator, happy to roll your sleeves up to get the job done.
Your lifeguarding or life skills are backed up by your passion to provide our community with exceptional customer service - you'll be proud to be a part of a team that ensures our community enjoys a clean, fun, and safe pool experience.
We recognise rewarding you is not only about your pay, so we've outlined some of the great benefits that may be available to you as an employee of Hutt City Council. Read more about them here: careers.huttcity.govt.nz/your-total-rewards
