Lecturer (Teaching and Administration) in Counselling Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health Located in Otautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New Zealand Part time 15-22.5 hours per week (2 x 0.4 - 0.6 FTE) Continuing (permanent) position Generous annual leave provisions and professional development opportunities Au Mahi | What You Will Do Applications are invited for an academic continuing position within the subject area of Counselling.
The holder of the position will share responsibility for delivery of the Master of Counselling programme, the Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Studies and be willing to contribute to undergraduate and other programmes within the Faculty.
Mou | Who You Are The successful candidate will have: Minimum qualification Master of Counselling degree Member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors / Te Roopu Kaiwhiriwhiri o Aotearoa (NZAC) Expertise in practice and teaching with the Solution-focused brief therapy model Significant experience teaching, including in blended learning, at the Masters level in Counsellor Education Experience in coordination and development of Counselling courses Experience with and commitment to bicultural counselling and education practice Competence in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) The capacity to work positively in a multi-disciplinary environment with a commitment to collegiality Knowledge of, and the ability to integrate into teaching, e-learning and other information technologies is preferable The ability to demonstrate an understanding of multicultural issues and to display a commitment to principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Mahi Ngatahi | Who You Will Work With Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and research activities that respond to the dynamic nature of the health and education sector and its workforce.
These include postgraduate programmes in Counselling, Social Work, Child and Family Psychology, Nursing, as well as various population health and clinical endorsements within the Postgraduate Diploma and Masters of Health Sciences.
