Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Join our dedicated teaching team at Te Whare Ako!
We are seeking a passionate and experienced learning support teacher for a permanent full-time position, dedicated to supporting ORS funded students.
Key responsibilities: Facilitate inclusive learning experiences for disabled students within Te Whare Ako and across the wider college.
Utilise expertise in teaching students with a diverse range of intellectual, emotional, and physical needs.
Demonstrate proficiency in adaptive communication, with a focus on understanding and responding to varied behaviour needs.
Contribute to the development of literacy and numeracy skills in students.
Qualifications and experience: Proven experience in teaching students with diverse needs.
Knowledge of adaptive communication strategies.
Ability to understand and respond effectively to varied behaviour needs.
Background in teaching literacy and/or numeracy is advantageous.
Collaborative team environment: Work collaboratively within the Mana College teaching team.
Collaborate with teacher aides to provide comprehensive support.
Contribute to fostering inclusive practices across the wider college.
