The Opportunity Join our dedicated Services Development team as a Learning and Development Lead. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to our mission to prevent strokes, improve outcomes, and save lives. Designing, implementing, and leading learning and development initiatives that meet stakeholder needs will be key to success, empowering those affected by stroke and fostering a knowledgeable and prepared community/health workforce. Working closely with the General Manager Services Development, the Services Development team, Community Services team, and the Marketing and Fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining innovative programmes in a range of formats that align with the Stroke Foundation's strategic objectives. Join a Meaningful Cause The Stroke Foundation NZ (SFNZ) has been at the forefront of stroke prevention and recovery for over 40 years, actively promoting ways to reduce strokes and dedicating ourselves to individuals who have experienced strokes, their whanau, and carers. Despite over 90% of strokes being preventable and increasingly happening at an earlier age, there are more than 10,000 strokes in New Zealand every year, making it a leading cause of serious adult disability. About You We are looking for a highly proficient and experienced learning and development lead, with the ability to design, create, and reimagine learning solutions using various methodologies, from virtual and in-person workshops to eLearning. Your technical and evaluation skills will be instrumental in leveraging learning management systems to enhance learning experiences. To be part of our team, it is essential that you are: Experienced with at least 5 years in a Learning & Development role, Experienced in creating diverse learning materials that successfully achieve learning objectives, Proficient in communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, Equipped with solid knowledge of adult learning theory, Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team, An excellent communicator and collaborator. Preferred applicants will have: Experience working with or for a non-profit organisation, A community, allied health, or disability knowledge and/or background. This role requires the applicant to be currently eligible to work within New Zealand.
