Tasks are varied and include:
Leading and coordinating recruitment and organising plans across the motu with an emphasis on the private Early Childhood Education sector
Coaching, developing and leading growth team kaimahi to achieve success
Coordinating work with other lead organisers nationally
In this role you will empower your team to bring potential members into contact with their union with an eye towards recruitment and identifying activists. You will also support your team to work with worksites, member groups and member representatives to build a strong union. You will be responsible for deploying resources in your region to meet members' aims and you will evaluate and debrief your team's work. You will be knowledgeable in union organising as well as coaching and leading teams.
You will accompany colleagues to worksite visits and meetings and attend Lead Organiser national meetings so some travel is required.
