This is a busy and varied role in a private Oral & Maxillofacial surgery centre, with a range of responsibilities supporting the surgical team with day-to-day administration duties.
Well presented, friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills – both in person and on the phone Computer literacy and proven proficiency with key Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel etc The ability to work well under pressure with a "can do" attitude Familiarity with health systems and medical terminology would be advantageous but is not essential Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Ability to maintain focus and prioritise in a busy work environment whilst maintaining patient confidentiality Previous experience in surgical/dental assisting is highly desired but not essential Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Reception duties - providing a safe and welcoming environment for our patients Coordinating both internal and external patient appointments Data entry and updating of patient records Greeting surgical patients and processing payments Managing the front desk and practice administration duties including practice correspondence Managing insurance claims Billing, accounts receivable, credit control, and accounts payable - Experience with Xero accounting programme advantageous Booking GA lists and liaising with St George's Hospital /patients/anaesthetists Maintenance of policy documents IT management This is a full-time role (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday – Friday between 7.30am – 6.30pm.
Consideration will be given to candidates who are looking for full time hours and the ability to be flexible. Prior reception experience in a health-related field is preferred.
