Lead Intelligence Analyst at Ministry for Primary Industries, Wellington CityLocation: WellingtonSalary band & range: D $98,955 -$132,427 depending on skills and experienceThe Lead Intelligence Analyst brings substantial intelligence analytic experience to the conduct and coaching of complex or challenging analysis. They exemplify and advance the practice of strategic intelligence, to deliver expert intelligence analysis, integrate data, and engage across MPI and the intelligence community. The Lead Intelligence Analyst works across all parts of the Strategic Intelligence team and I&I Group's work programme which includes international fisheries, trade, economic security, biosecurity, and national security issues relevant to the primary sector.The Lead Intelligence Analyst will establish and maintain a range of internal and external networks. This includes working with the Principal Adviser (Intelligence) and other Lead Intelligence Analysts in the Intelligence and Information Group and across the Ministry to advance MPI's intelligence practice, as well as establishing relationships with key customers. They are also expected to effectively engage with other government agencies within New Zealand and abroad.We are looking for an experienced intelligence analyst with at least five years in relevant intelligence analysis roles, or in a strongly similar working environment. As our Lead Intelligence Analyst, you will be experienced at applying complex analytic methodologies, and delivering intelligence insights and outputs at all levels of an organisation. You will have demonstrated experience in coaching analysts and leading the delivery of training in intelligence tools, techniques, and methodologies.You will have experience in developing and managing positive relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders across various specialist areas.
