About the Role
You will mainly be responsible for conducting prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures. You will learn to build equipment and/or perform basic material or environmental tests using basic techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment.
This position reports to the Lab Supervisor and will be based at our operations in New Plymouth, NZ.
Key Responsibilities
Calibration and maintenance of equipment
Housekeeping within the laboratory
Receiving, labelling, and safely storing samples to be tested
Entering the quality results into programs so product and quality can be reported
Cleans and maintains lab equipment
Complies with all regulatory safety compliance and supports safety initiatives
Role Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or related disciplines
Strong focus on hygiene and HSE awareness
Working knowledge of Chemistry
Good computer and communication skills
