We are excited to offer a part-time position for a Kitchen Administrator, working 24 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday), with opportunities for overtime during sitting weeks, events, and functions. If you thrive in a collaborative and passionate environment, we want to hear from you!Mo te tunga | About the role:In this pivotal role, you will support our culinary operations across our unique venues, including Copperfield's Café and Bellamy's Restaurant, as well as various Parliamentary functions. Your responsibilities will include:Administrative Management: Overseeing administrative systems within Parliamentary Catering.Invoice Processing: Coding invoices accurately and collaborating with the Finance team as needed.Stock Management: Working closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to complete monthly stocktakes and enter data into the relevant systems (Loaded).Exceptional Service: Responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.Food Safety: Ensuring the safe storage of all delivered food items.Supply Oversight: Completing store requisitions and managing the process in the absence of the Head Chef.Additional Duties: Carrying out other administrative tasks to support Catering as required.To kete | What you will bring to the role:We are looking for candidates who possess:Culinary Expertise: It would be advantageous to come from a cooking background, meaning you could support the Head Chef where needed.Ability to Thrive Under Pressure: Composure and efficiency in fast-paced environments.Organisational Skills: Strong ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Safety Awareness: Understanding of local hygiene regulations and safe working conditions.Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently or as part of a dynamic team.Critical Thinking: Strong lateral thinking skills for informed decision-making.Tech Proficiency: Competence in general computer skills, including MS Office, with a willingness to manage information databases.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou| What's in it for you?We actively represent our values of Accountability, Integrity, Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga and Empowerment.We offer a thorough induction, on-going development and excellent working conditions.We offer a range of benefits including study assistance, 5 weeks annual leave and flexible working arrangements.
