Te Mahi / About the position

We are seeking a professional, caring individual to join our Care Home in the role of Hospital Aide/ Kaiawhina. This is a dual role, supporting the clinical team with resident's cares in the capacity of a Hospital Aide, with a specific focus on Maori kainoho (residents) and Pacifica and families/ whanau.

Based in Merivale, Otautahi, this is a part time position (0.625 FTE), to be normally worked Monday - Friday. The exact hours of work may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

He momo / About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

Working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural / partnership challenges in the healthcare sector

Strong relational skills

The ability to work collaboratively across a complex organisation

Experience as a Hospital Aide, Caregiver or similar

A certificate in health and wellbeing (or similar), as well as knowledge of Te Reo Maori is preferred, but not essential.
