Our client are a boutique structural consultancy with a solid reputation in the Canterbury region. Due to further growth, they are looking to add an ambitious graduate/junior structural engineer to join the team
This consultant is known for their commitment to quality and their successful track record in creating innovative engineering solutions across various sectors including commercial, healthcare, retail, and residential. This consultancy has been involved in significant projects throughout New Zealand, including some of the most challenging and complex structures.
About the Position
This position involves contributing to all stages of the engineering process, from design to construction oversight. The role will entail analysing structural requirements, creating comprehensive design documents, and working closely with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
What We're Looking For
BE (hons) Civil Engineering or NZ recognised equivalent
1-3 Years NZ based consulting experience as a structural engineer
A solid understanding of structural analysis software and a strong foundation in designing with concrete, steel, and timber
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
High level of collaboration, confident liaising with clients & contractors
The ability to work autonomously when required but also as part of a highly successful team
You will have the opportunity to tackle technically challenging projects from the early stages of your career, gaining excellent exposure as you develop under the guidance of chartered seniors
