Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our Levin team, where you will assist in managing project costs, ensuring accurate budgeting, and supporting the financial aspects of our projects. You will work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Tasks:
Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
Undertake project plan takeoffs, creating SOQ and BOMs including plan markups.
Prepare quotations and proposal packages.
Help maintain project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost tracking to ensure financial efficiency.
Collaborate with project teams to identify, document, and manage variations and changes in scope.
Assist in the administration of contracts, including reviewing subcontractor agreements and managing procurement processes.
Prepare reports on project costs and financial performance for internal stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and regulations related to façade and balustrade systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Previous internships or experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Bluebeam and Costx software is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
