Junior Montessori Teacher, Y1-4

Position: Primary and Intermediate (Years 1–8) / Kura Tuatahi, Certificated Teacher Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts South End School is a dual pathway school, comprising of Mainstream and Montessori classes, in Carterton. We offer a friendly, positive, and collaborative environment where all staff work together to achieve the best for our students and whanau. We are an enviro-school, have extensive well-maintained grounds and classrooms, and are well-resourced and supported by the Board of Trustees and the wider community. We are looking for a part-time junior teacher for our multi-level Montessori class for 2025. Do you have a passion for learning and an openness to finding out more about the Montessori way of teaching? Are you already Montessori trained and looking for a change? Come and work with us at South End School. Being Montessori trained is not essential, but you do need to be willing to learn, as well as ready to embrace the philosophy and teaching approaches. Strengths in music or art would be an asset. The successful candidate will work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, alongside another teacher and learning assistants.
