We have an opportunity for a seasoned IT Operations and Infrastructure Lead to join our IT team based in Auckland, supporting internal clients.
The IT Operations and Infrastructure Lead will be responsible for providing IT Infrastructure management including but not limited to server, network, telecommunications and end user devices. Our ideal candidate will have experience providing expert advice on IT projects from implementing new ERP projects to advice and support in infrastructure design, selection and implementation. Ideally you will have a proven track record of providing strategy around IT Operational requirements and ensure that recommendations are practical and have the drive to achieve best outcomes for the business. You will also have experience leading members of the IT team.
Your skills:
Demonstrated experience and strong technical proficiency across most areas of Information Technology including: infrastructure, applications, networking, communication, end user devices (ideally in a Microsoft environment)
Microsoft server and desktop Operating Systems
Virtualisation technologies i.e. Hyper-V and VMware
Microsoft Azure and O365
Network design, installation, and management
Service management experience within a similar IT environment
Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with management, technical consultants and internal/external vendors
Strong analytics and problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail
Experience monitoring systems operations, preparation of business cases for change, and making recommendations as needed
Experience developing technological procedural and operations manuals
Experience managing medium IT projects, overseeing IT budget, and contributing to strategic plans
Experience with supervising and mentoring support staff
