This could be the career and lifestyle opportunity you are looking for.As the Internal Communications Advisor, you will be responsible for managing and creating content for our internal communications channels, including our intranet and in person gatherings. You will work closely with our HR Manager and the General Manager - People and Transformation to implement our newly developed communications strategy to help our people feel more connected, informed and be a Culture & Values Ambassador, bringing to life stories through words, videos and story sharing. As part of the wider HR team you will also have the opportunity to work on people related projects, particularly by transforming content to connect with our people.The successful person for this role will thrive in a busy environment, enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and have the ability to identify bespoke solutions that meet the needs of a varied and diverse organisation.The ideal candidate will:Have strong communications experience in a varied organisations or a variety of organisations.be an excellent writer who can produce content for a range of channels, and experience identifying the right channel for the message.the ability to build strong relationships within the team and across Council based on trust, credibility and the delivery of quality work and excellent customer service.an inclusive and approachable working style.willingness to support and participate in Emergency Management for the wider Council when required.In addition we are offering:Ongoing professional development and trainingHealth and wellbeing benefitsPrior experience in either a local or central government environment would be advantageous, as would a qualification in Communications or a related discipline.Part time work arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.Please note: Only applications submitted via Council's website will be accepted for this role.To find out more please review the position description and for specific queries contact Kirsty Milham on 06 349 3062.
