By integrating innovative solutions and sustainable practices, we strive to create resilient and vibrant environments that support the diverse needs of our society.Our approach is collaborative, ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged and that our projects contribute positively to the overall quality of life.The ideal candidate should possess:At least 5 years of experience in planning, civil, or environmental engineering, including expertise in infrastructure planning.A relevant tertiary qualification in planning, engineering, or environmental science.Preferably, membership in a relevant professional institution.Extensive experience with the Resource Management Act, Local Government Act, or Land Transport Management Act.Strong skills in project management, policy development, collaboration, and consenting.Excellent documentation, reporting, and writing abilities.The capability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with confidence.A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for our community.A progressive mindset focused on continuous improvement.The ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.Far North District Council is proud of our diverse workforce and is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
