The Opportunity
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a crucial role in guiding the financial strategy and sustainability of the organisation throughout this fixed term period, providing a chance for you to demonstrate your experience and capability by hitting the ground running.

You will be responsible for overseeing financial performance, risk management, and security, ensuring the organisational financial health and operational efficiency.

The Role
Offer strategic financial and commercial guidance, spearhead financial analysis, and devise solutions for both strategic and operational challenges.
Lead a high-performing team, support the Audit and Risk Committee, and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders.
Direct procurement activities, formulate strategies, and oversee supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and policy compliance.
Supervise the management of property, plant, and fleet, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to health and safety standards.
Discover and develop commercial opportunities related to organisational assets, driving initiatives to maximize their value.
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting efforts, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements.
Manage cash flow and borrowing for both operational needs and capital projects.
Supervise daily financial operations, improve financial systems, and ensure process robustness.

Your Profile
Hold full, unrestricted working rights for New Zealand and be based in Christchurch.
Demonstrated experience in senior financial management roles, ideally having worked as a CFO.
Demonstrable experience in risk management, assurance processes, and working in large, complex organizations.
Experienced in managing multiple funding sources and accounting rules.
Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent.
Proven leadership skills and proficiency in relevant technology.
