A Hawkes Bay Based Company, LAE Limited, is looking for a suitable candidate with an Instrumentation Technician / Mechanician OR a New Zealand IMC Level 4 qualification, to be based in Hastings, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
The position details are as follows;
Position Title: Maintenance Instrumentation Technician
Reporting to: Director and/or Supervising Senior Technician
Remuneration: $40 to $45/hr
Hours of work: 45 hrs/week Typically 7am – 5pm (Mon – Fri)
Area of Work: Hawkes Bay, Hastings, NZ
Key Position Responsibilities:
Calibrate instruments as per calibration schedule verifying they work within spec stipulated
Repair Instrumentation breakdowns as they occur to limit downtime
Be involved with new project installation to ensure the new instruments are installed correctly and put on schedule and maintained thereafter
Update Calibration Schedule daily to meet auditing requirements
Meet legal and industry requirements around calibrations
Adhere to LAE Limited Health and Safety Policies, with role model behavior
Contribute to a healthy and safe working environment within the wider team
Identify, action and report hazards
Provide on job training for trainees and able to communicate skills and training effectively
Liaise with onsite electrical staff, project engineers and managers
Ownership and understanding of all instruments
Experience and excellent understanding of calibration loops and instrumentation process
Skills and qualifications needed:
NZQA Level 4 Industrial Measurement and control or equivalent OR
Recognized Instrumentation Trade Certificate qualification and minimum experience of two years in the field of Instrumentation servicing, repairs, maintenance and calibrations
Knowledge of PLC Programming will be an advantage
High level of attention to detail, accuracy and fault finding
Excellent computer skills incl office 365 suite
Can perform as part of a team
