Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Are you an experienced Injection Moulding Production Manager looking for a new challenge?We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in Christchurch, where you will lead our injection moulding operations to new heights.As the Injection Moulding Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, managing, and inspiring our injection moulding team, overseeing production processes, and fostering a customer-focused culture within our organisation.We are looking for someone with the following skills & attributes:Proven experience in managing injection moulding teams effectively.Strong commitment to health and safety protocols and practices.Ability to interpret technical drawings and written instructions accurately.Background in plastic engineering, trade, or technical field.Meticulous attention to detail and quality.Customer-centric mindset with a focus on sales support.Knowledge of current manufacturing methods and machinery.Reliable with a proven track record of attendance and performance.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Experience with relevant computer systems and software.Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team-oriented approach.Solution-focused with a proactive "can-do" attitude.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.Key TasksLead and manage the injection moulding team to ensure exceptional customer service and operational excellence.Collaborate with sales representatives to provide accurate and competitive quotes and costings.Drive efficiencies in production methods and processes.Liaise with subcontractors for tool design planning, builds, implementations, and modifications.Establish and maintain effective quality control and assurance systems.Oversee the commissioning of new plant and equipment as required.Plan and schedule jobs effectively to avoid disruptions and delays.Ensure all staff are cross-trained to optimise workforce flexibility.Manage tool repairs and maintenance schedules.Place orders for stock requirements in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager.Participate in regular production/toolbox meetings with the production team.Attend daily stand-up meetings with sales staff to align production with customer needs.Contribute to monthly production meetings as required.Actively participate in the Health & Safety culture.Assist in Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) planning for future investments.Ensure all equipment and machinery are well-maintained to maximise efficiency.Complete reports on outstanding hours, production metrics, and other necessary documentation.About UsAt LEP Engineering Plastics we are a leading manufacturer committed to providing top-quality technical components to our loyal customers.
