Uruuruwhenua Health Inc. – Alexandra, South Island
Uruuruwhenua Health Inc. are seeking an enrolled or registered Nurse to help deliver our Immunisation Program across Central Otago, Wanaka and Queenstown.
Immunisation Program Nurses 40 hours per week (negotiable)
Fixed Term until July 2025.
Based in Central Otago, Wanaka or Queenstown.
Relocation costs considered for the right applicant.
Funding available for further professional development.
Join our Hauora Maori team and manage our in-house and outreach immunisation program.
Our ideal applicants will:
Have current Nursing Council of New Zealand annual practising certificate Be a fully authorised vaccinator or be willing to undertake training Work with other healthcare professionals in our community to break down the barriers in accessing immunisation for Whanau. Deliver promotion, advice, and education of the immunisation program Be willing to occasionally work outside the hours of 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday to ensure the program is accessible for everyone. Be committed to personal growth and professional development Have a basic understanding of Tikanga Maori and Te Reo Maori and be willing to continue their learning journey. Manage cold chain and out-reach facilities. Have legal working rights in New Zealand. Have an understanding of the barriers in healthcare access for rural communities. Preferably be willing to drive a manual motorhome. Occasionally you may need to represent Uruuruwhenua at hui, attend events, provide transport for Whanau, and travel for trainings.
