With a change of ownership underway, we are searching for an HR Specialist to join our growing business and help us to thrive in our next phase of growth.
About the Role:
Based at our site in Ashburton, you will be focused on supporting our senior and middle management to find, manage, and retain talent. This is a new role for the company, so there is huge scope to mould this role into your own. The position could be suited to anyone with suitable HR experience, from an HR advisor through to a Senior HR Business Partner. You will be involved with the full suite of generalist HR activities. For applicants with the appropriate background, this could also include Health and Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a generalist HR role, but with a particular focus on:
Recruitment and selection.
Supporting our Leadership Team to manage a range of ER problems.
Immigration Support.
This is a new position for the business, so there is scope to shape the role to suit your own skillset. What is most important to us is that you are keen to understand our business, are comfortable working with people from a range of different cultures and walks of life, and take a pragmatic approach to resolving issues.
Alongside this, experience in the following would be beneficial:
A solid background in HR Roles, ideally within primary industries or similar.
Strong and current knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence people at all levels, from our process workers to our General Manager.
