The Role
Reporting to People Success Lead, this role is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the business unit to ensure alignment with various aspects of human resources including employee relations case management, performance management, and employee development. They will also support projects and programs related to workforce planning, talent management, and the selection of new colleagues for their client groups.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Act as a key point of contact for the colleagues and managers in the Business Unit you support, providing guidance based on HR policies and procedures.
Support employee relations cases, ensuring fair resolutions in line with company policies.
Assist with leave management including supporting maternity, parental, and medical leaves and proactive management of accrued time off.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, keeping updated on relevant HR legislation and best practices.
Help develop and implement HR policies, performance processes, and strategies to improve retention, engagement, and productivity.
Support with providing guidance to colleagues regarding compensation, benefits, leave policies and other payroll, benefits enrolment, and related employee services.
Aid and support change management initiatives and assist with organizational redesign.
Review and offer guidance on job descriptions as part of the job evaluation and levelling process, including comprehensive analysis and recommendations for global market ranges.
Participate in the company-wide annual compensation review.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources with 4 to 7 years of experience in human resources generalist or employee relations experience.
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficient experience in Human Capital Management Systems such as SuccessFactors or Workday and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Organizational agility and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Additional Information
Office-based working environment, work from our Christchurch, New Zealand office three or more days per week.
