Housekeepin Supervisors Needed We have 5 roles to fill. Location on the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand, Franz Josef Glacier.Backpackers, Motel, 5 Star Luxury lodges a holiday park and our very popular bar &restaurant to service on the property. Your Primary Responsibility:You shall be responsible for the final room inspections prior to bieng occupied and supervisory roleto the housekeeping team Tasks:- To "Final Inspect" rooms and notify Mews (the reservation system) that the room is clean andready to occupy.- Ensure any defects or sub-standard presentations are "made good" by the cleaner responsiblefor that particular space- To lead by example working along side the housekeeping staff to ensure they are carrying outtheir functional duties to the required standards consistent with:Cleaning roomsChanging bedsCleaning shower and bathroomsCleaning the bar / kitchen / dining room areasClearing any rubbish, debris, glassware, bottles and cigarette butts etc from around thegrounds- To report any required maintenance to the company Trello communication board- To be sure laundry and storage areas are kept tidy and organised Weekly / monthly check of stock levels reported to management and advise on orderingquantities- Housekeeping VehiclesTo sign off each vehicle in the morning as to who will be driving and recording any knowndefects.Report back on any new damage or defects on the returned vehicles having gathered allnecessary details- Provide training to new staff- Managing any performance based concerns in conjunction with the general manager- Assist with other duties as reasonably requested You will be required to have the following attributes:Excellent customer service skills.Being a great team player and most importantly having a positive "let's get the job done"attitude.Time management and social management skillsA current NZ driver's license would be an advantageA great customer focused personality You must be willing to work weekends and public holidays and you will be offered a minimum of 30hours per week with up to 50 hours per week during the busy periods as the business requires.Pay rate between $25 and $30 per hour pending experience You must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years' relevant work experience, OR a relevantqualifi cation at level 4 or above of the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework(NZQCF). We can discuss accommodation in our staff facilitiesIt is important to note that Franz Josef, is a small rural town 1 ½ hours to the nearest town whichi sn't for some people and so the applicants need to demonstrate their willingness to re-locate to thearea for the foreseeable future.
