Housekeeping Manager

We at The Ashley Hotel based in Greymouth, are looking for a Housekeeping Manager who will perform the below key tasks: Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of all guest rooms at the hotel, ensuring they meet company standards.
Develop, manage, and monitor the annual Housekeeping budget, ensuring financial efficiency.
Maintain adequate inventory levels of guest supplies, cleaning products, linens, and uniforms, and manage their stock levels accordingly.
Collaborate with the accounts team to manage suppliers and inventory control related to the Housekeeping department.
Review, develop, and implement efficient housekeeping systems and procedures to ensure consistent quality.
Prepare and submit reports to the management as required.
Organize and oversee on-the-job training for the Housekeeping team, evaluating its effectiveness regularly.
Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new housekeeping staff.
Recognize and reward individual and team achievements that meet the hotel's quality expectations.
Address and resolve guest concerns related to housekeeping services, ensuring positive outcomes are achieved.
Ensure a comprehensive daily log is maintained, detailing incidents, issues, and shift handover information for continuity.
Conduct monthly team meetings with the management and daily handovers with the housekeeping team to share relevant updates.
Work closely with the management team to deliver personalized and focused service that aligns with guest expectations.
Assist the management and other staff with special projects, providing feedback and implementing actions as required.
Conduct daily inspections of public areas, guest rooms, and corridors, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Hold daily briefings with the front of house staff to coordinate operations.
Provide support across departments to ensure service goals are consistently achieved.
Coordinate the preventative maintenance schedule for guest rooms and public areas with the maintenance team to ensure optimal room conditions.
Create and manage a rotating schedule for deep cleaning and linen replacement to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
You will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $25 to $30 per hour.
Other Requirements: The candidate should hold a minimum of 6 months of experience in hospitality or a minimum Level 4 qualification.
Should be available to work on weekends and evening shifts.
Should be comfortable working on rostered shifts.
Physically fit to stand for longer hours.
Leadership skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Hardworking and passionate.
Good personality.
Pre-drug test is required.
Team-worker.
