About the role:
The Picton Yacht Club Hotel is a stunning property located by the harbour, the perfect location to explore the dramatic local coastline and New Zealand wine country. This 49-room boutique hotel is looking for a casual Housekeeping Attendant to service our newly renovated rooms and look after our public areas.
Your role is to be a key member of our awesome Housekeeping team! This position includes the responsibility of ensuring our high standards of cleanliness are kept up throughout the hotel. This can be a fantastic opportunity to grow a career in hospitality for a candidate who wishes to grow in the field.
Responsibilities: Service allocated rooms to the standard required by the Hotel
Ensure that public areas are vacuumed and cleaned
Ensure that the housekeeping trolleys are stocked and tidy at the end of the shift
Ensure guest comfort at all times
Respond to guest requests politely and efficiently
Assist the hotel in monitoring stocks and maintaining productivity
Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times
Contribute to making the Hotel a great place to work
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a housekeeping team or similar
Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays
Physically fit to carry out Housekeeping tasks
Punctual, organised and trustworthy
Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
Excellent attention to detail
High standards of presentation both for yourself and your work
Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
Pride in your work
