Mo te turanga - About the role This is a part-time position, working Sunday to Wednesday each week from 09.00-16.30.
The Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and laundry schedules, ensuring our residential aged care Home is kept clean and tidy.
Attention to healthy hygiene practices and a motivation to make a pleasant living and working environment for all members of Chalmers Home is essential.
Provide quality cleaning and laundry services for the Home Understand and follow infection control procedures Help residents to maintain their individuality by assisting them with their own cleaning practices, if they wish.
Oversight of the cleanliness within the home, including rooms staged for viewing Regular ordering of chemicals as per policy Support to complete performance appraisals for cleaning and laundry staff Mo koe - About You You will be enthusiastic but patient and well-organised with great interpersonal skills.
You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.
In addition, you will have: Ideally a New Zealand Certificate in Cleaning Level 3 or Relevant supervisory experience and already hold a National Certificate in Cleaning and Caretaking Level 2 and are prepared to gain a Level 3 Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team Ability to orientate and train others Literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to maintain manual and computerised records What's in it for me?
