About the role We are seeking a dedicated Pou Tiaki to join our Eastbourne Neighbourhood Hub for this role is 24 hours per week working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. In this role, you will assist within the library, and have a strong interest in engaging with the community to create and deliver programs and events for all ages.
The primary goal of this position is to provide customer-centric services that meet the community's needs, optimize our spaces for community use, and enhance awareness and engagement with council-wide services.
As the Pou Tiaki, you will be the friendly and welcoming face of our Eastbourne Library, offering information and support to our customers. You will serve as the vital link between us and the community, assisting with a variety of tasks including library services, events, functions, general inquiries, and other ad hoc duties.
About You You are a confident, team player, looking for an opportunity to engage in a role supporting our local community.
For this position you will need to provide high quality, welcoming frontline service to all customers. You'll embrace our diverse local community, have confidence dealing with a wide range of customer groups and be open to learning new things. Your ability to think on your feet combined with your passion for amazing customer service will allow you to excel in this role.
