Albany Junior High School is a middle school (Y7–10) on Auckland's North Shore, offering a future-focused, strength-based curriculum for emerging adolescents. We serve a diverse community who appreciate all that is on offer in our unique school environment.
We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Y7 or Y8 homeroom teacher starting term 1 2025.
Homeroom teachers deliver both academic learning and pastoral care to students. Our school has a rich EOTC programme and embraces all the learning opportunities that our middle school model allows us.
Successful candidates must have an excellent working knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and be highly student-centered to accelerate learning and achievement. The ability to teach a comprehensive literacy programme would be an advantage.

Albany Junior High School operates under the Secondary Collective Agreement and offers a minimum of 5 non-contact hours per week.
Applicants must be well versed in the NZC, have current NZ teacher registration.
