Responsibilities: As a Home Caregiver, you will provide personalized care to help clients maintain as much independence as possible. This will involve implementing a tailored Care Plan that includes personal care and household management.
Key Tasks:
Assess and identify the challenges faced by clients, understanding their individual needs.
Implement and adhere to personalized care plans.
Monitor and promptly report on each client's progress.
Support clients with their physical, emotional, and health-related needs.
Assist with personal care tasks, including washing, bathing, showering, grooming, and hygiene.
Provide support with toileting and bowel and bladder management.
Aid clients in using daily living and rehabilitation equipment.
Prompt and assist clients in taking prescribed medications.
Encourage clients to maintain their independence.
Assist with rehabilitation programs as directed by healthcare professionals.
Shop locally and prepare shopping lists, including assistance with budgeting.
Handle money for shopping in accordance with policy and care plan guidelines.
Assist with feeding and meal preparation as needed.
Maintain accurate health records and report to coordinators as required.
Establish and nurture positive working relationships with clients and their families.
Assist clients with various forms of communication.
We Are Seeking Candidates Who:
Are passionate about empowering clients to lead fulfilling lives.
Have a minimum of 3 months of professional experience in providing complex care.
Hold either 3 years of experience in the field or a Level 4 Healthcare qualification (or equivalent).
Are self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and punctual.
Are culturally aware and sensitive.
Can work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Possess strong communication skills with an excellent command of the English language.
Have a full New Zealand driver's license.
Are willing to travel around the Bay of Plenty region.
Have experience with bowel care and suppositories.
Are open to assisting with physiotherapy exercises.
Are available for wakeover shifts and weekend work.
Are willing to work rostered shifts.
