About the role
Due to continued and sustained growth within all sectors of the business there is a permanent opportunity for a H&S Manager to join the team in Auckland.
As the H&S Manager you will be an influential and vital piece of the puzzle, nationwide. Your role will involve championing improvements within Health and Safety and supporting our Companies in providing a safe working environment for our 260 (approximate) employees who work on construction sites, factories and in the office. Your focus on process and procedure and your keen attention to detail will allow our team and the business to lead the way in this field.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be the positive face within safety across the business. You will implement and drive the existing safety management system.
Duties include
• Completing, overseeing and closing out incident investigations, as they arise
• Review and update H&S policies, procedures and related documentation
• Assist with internal Health and Safety audits as required
• Developing safety meeting topics
• Creating safety manuals
What we need
• Previous experience as a H&S Manager/Officer
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in assisting with inspections and audits (preferable)
• Ability to establish and build strong internal relationships
• Have well developed general MS Office skills
• Be confident in minute taking and record management
• Be able to prioritise tasks and effectively manage deadlines
