Mo te turanga | About the role
We are looking for a superstar self-starter - with a passion for health, safety, and wellbeing at work - to provide outstanding support to our National Health and Safety Manager and ensure a culture of best practice continues to flourish at Arvida.
You will assist teams to understand our Health and Safety statistics and KPIs, ensure continual system improvement, and encourage participation in Health and Safety initiatives at all levels of the business. Your efficient coordination and administration skills will allow you to support meeting preparation and minute-taking, review and maintenance of risk registers and audits, board reporting, presentation preparation, and training event coordination.
Based out of our Christchurch Support Office, with some flexibility to work from home, no day will be the same and will see you regularly interacting with our communities, support offices, and construction teams across New Zealand.
Experience in a Health and Safety role or environment is not required – but a genuine interest and desire to grow within this field is a must.

Along with proven strength and competence in administration and coordination, our ideal team member will demonstrate:
A detail focused approach, highly organised and ability to work autonomously
Systems orientation with advanced Excel skills
Strong communication skills, including the ability to take accurate minutes and create streamlined reports
Proven experience building strong relationships across multi-site organisations
This is a full-time role working across Monday - Friday.
