If so, the University of Waikato is looking for you to start in the new year.In this role, you will specifically work within the Maori, Pasifika, LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse communities, and international students and students with disabilities to increase access to healthcare services. You will engage with key populations to identify barriers to accessing equitable health outcomes and work with individual students to enhance engagement with health screening and promotion.You will be expected to be proactive in engaging with our student community to develop and maintain key partnerships that will allow students to engage with a variety of health and wellness providers. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other health and wellbeing providers in the Student Health Service.This role should appeal if you are ready to utilise your expertise where it is highly valued. Students can be in a vulnerable position, and you will be ensuring that their health and wellbeing are well-supported so they can focus on their education and build their futureSalary will be in the range of $82,795 to $94,691 per year pro rata based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a part time role 0.8 FTE (30 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus. You will ideally have a high degree of cultural competency working with Maori and Pasifika communities as well as experience with LGBTQIA+, takatapui, fa'afafine and other gender diverse communities.The ability to clearly communicate complex information to people and groups with various levels of health literacy is essential. To be successful in this role you will need to be comfortable with group and public speaking.
