Ko te kaupapa | About the role Our friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary wider Community Mental Health and Addiction team are seeking a New Zealand clinician to work with our Mental Health Assessment and Home Treatment team. This is an opportunity for you to develop and share your acute clinical experience in a recovery focused environment. The Mental Health Assessment and Home Treatment Team works to provide mental health crisis phone triage, urgent mental health assessment, crisis resolution intervention, and the delivery of intensive short term home treatment for a defined group of service user/tangata whaiora to support community based treatment and care. This position provides you with the opportunity to work on a variety of duties as and when you are able. Ko koe tenei | About you To be successful in this position you will: * be a registered health professional with a minimum of three years post graduate clinical experience working in acute mental health and community mental health services is desirable * be a duly authorised officer or willing to complete the training * hold a current New Zealand practicing certificate * be able to apply comprehensive assessments skills and motivational skills that are culturally safe and partnership focused * be a provider of educational and community information that is supportive of the needs to the service users/tangata whaiora and their family/whanau * have a compassionate and enthusiastic understanding for mental health well-being and ability to deliver interventions that is reflective of the Te Whatu Ora Whanganui - He Hapori Ora - Thriving Communities strategic direction Ko wai matou | Who are we Our vision is He Hapori Ora - Thriving Communities, with our mission being 'to improve health and independence through a responsive and integrated health system'.
