Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty – Tauranga, North IslandYou are responsible for delivering the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addictions service as part of a multi-disciplinary team, located within General Practice, providing enhanced access and choice for patients within this environment. Addressing inequity is a key focus of the service.This new integrated model of care enables patients requiring behavioural change services/support to move seamlessly between primary care, NGO, Health NZ/Maori Health Authority, and other community supports.You report to the Health Improvement Practitioner Team Lead, Integrated Primary Mental Health, and Addictions.Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityThis career opportunity involves working within an Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addictions service as part of a multi-disciplinary team in General Practice. If you're agile, enthusiastic, and ready to make an impact, we'd love to have you on board!Ko koe tenei | About you• Registered health professional with current annual practicing certificate in either psychology, nursing, occupational therapist, social worker or similar.Qualifications in CBT or ACT would be an advantage.Previous clinical experience working with mental health providing evidence-based psychological interventions.Strong advocacy and resolution skills.The ability to work independently with agreed boundaries.Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to work in an electronic medical record.Knowledge of Te Tiriti of Waitangi principles and a commitment to Maori health equity.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent planning and organisational skills.A full and current NZ driver's license.Ko wai matou | About usWBOP PHO is a joint venture partnership between Ngai Te Rangi and Ngati Ranginui iwi and our General Practice network.
