About the roleTe Mana Oranga Trust is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic person to join and support a dedicated GP team in Kaitaia, Northland. As a part-time Health Coach (24 hours per week), you will play a crucial role in supporting patients by assessing and prioritising their health needs, and formulating simple plans to help them achieve their health and wellness goals. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the local community.What you'll be doingWorking in a GP practiceProviding one-on-one coaching and guidance to patients on lifestyle changes, including nutrition, exercise, and stress managementCollaborating with patients to develop personalised health plans and monitor their progressFacilitating educational sessions on a range of health and wellness topicsMaintaining detailed and accurate client records each dayReferring and possibly transporting patients to other appointments as neededActively promoting the health coaching services within the local communitySupporting patients with MSD appointments if neededWhat we're looking forMinimum qualification - Level 4 Mental Health and WellbeingRelevant experience in mental health, nutrition, or a related fieldExperience in health coaching or a similar role, with a proven track record of helping clients achieve their goalsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clientsStrong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitaskA passion for health and wellness and a commitment to empowering individuals to take control of their healthA team player who collaborates and can work independentlyThe successful candidate must undergo a Police checkWhat we offerAt Te Mana Oranga Trust, we are dedicated to supporting our employees and creating a positive work environment.
