Your role is to work within the team to assist nursing staff in care delivery, one-to-one patient Therapeutic observations and other tasks as directed.
We are looking to appoint casual positions, working on anas required basis, primarily across AM and PM shifts, rostered Monday to Sunday, with the occasional Night Shift.
Shift times AM: 0700 -1500 PM: 1500-2300 Night shifts: 2300 - 0700(occasional) N.B.
There are no fixed hours of work associated with casual employment; however, some forward planning will be available when covering planned leave.
The more shifts you're available to work the more hours you will be offered.
The full-time equivalent salary for a Health Care Assistants range from $60,100 to $70,358 (step 1-5) based on the current NZNO Nursing & Midwifery MECA, dependent on experience and relevant qualifications.

You will have a mature outlook, the ability to get on with a wide variety of people, good information technology (IT) skills (especially with MS Excel and Word) and excellent organisational and communication skills.
You will also have the ability to work in a flexible and methodical manner, demonstrating honesty and reliability, and will be adaptable to change, use appropriate initiative and respond flexibly to service needs.
Experience within the health sector is essential and additional training will be provided.
Qualifications Essential Year 11 NCEA level 1 English (or equivalent) Year 11 NCEA level 1 Maths (or equivalent) NZQA level 3 qualification (or equivalent)* *Mandatory requirementNZQA Level 3: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand,if not previously obtained,is to be commenced once orientations have been attended.
