As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering quality patient care for our patients and whanau.

The Waikato ED is the major regional referral and trauma centre for the Midland region. We see approximately 85,000 patients per year with a broad case mix of presentations from paediatrics to geriatrics, medicine to trauma – there is no aspect of emergency medical care we do not provide.
A typical day as a Health Care Assistant can include:
Assisting with basic patient care
Restocking of supplies
Maintaining a clean and safe environment
Other such duties that will assist with the smooth running of the department
The successful candidate will be provided with a comprehensive orientation programme and supportive staff development opportunities.
