Office based role: Weekdays 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (37.5 hours)

About the Role Reporting to the Group Director, you'll play an essential role in strengthening our risk management and compliance assurance (ensuring alignment with regulations like FMA and REA) across a diverse range of services:
Develop sound risk management policies and procedures.
Manage our risk registers and conduct assessments across departments.
Provide interesting reports and valuable insights to Directors, Senior Management, and Board.
Advise stakeholders to directly influence key strategic decisions.
Drive our compliance culture across the entire organisation, ensuring staff understand the WHY.
Maintain our Compliance Assurance Programme and ensure data security and privacy compliance.
Conduct audits and stay updated on regulatory requirements (across FMA, REA, AML, etc).
Foster relationships of trust with regulatory bodies across FMA, REA, and other important contacts.

About You Seasoned professional with senior-level experience in Risk and Compliance management, ideally within NZ financial services or legal sectors (FMA experience ideal).
Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or risk management.
Proven track record in creating and implementing risk registers, compliance frameworks, and cultures, ideally in agile environments.
Strategic thinker with analytical skills and knowledge of regulatory standards.
Strong communicator, tech-savvy, and adaptable to fast-paced settings.
Not afraid to lay down the law with staff (compliance is a non-negotiable), and challenge leaders with diplomacy and confidence.
