We're on the lookout for our next Head Chef and Sous Chef to join our small but busy kitchen. This is a great opportunity to work with a close-knit team, grow your skills, and build on what we've created during the last 5 years.
You must have a minimum of two years experience in a similar role and should have the following attributes:
Menu planning: Designing and creating menus with new and existing dishesKitchen management: Overseeing the food preparation, cooking, and cleaning processesStaff management: Training and managing kitchen staff. Estimating their workload and compensationQuality control: Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation, also that all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standardsBudgeting: Creating and maintaining the kitchen's budget. Managing inventory and cost controlCompliance: Ensuring compliance with hygiene, health and safety regulations, and nutrition standardsCustomer service: Dealing with customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfactionEquipment: Planning orders for equipment and ingredients, also arranging for repairsCollaboration: Fostering a collaborative and efficient working environmentWe will provide a flexible and balanced roster ensuring a work/life balance, competitive pay rate, a supportive working environment, and ongoing training.
