Craft Your Culinary Mark at Eastwood Cafe! Local daytime hotspot Eastwood Café seeks a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic team.
We're a bustling all-day eatery located within the multi award winning Scion building, and adjacent to Whakarewarewa Forest, Rotorua. Our thriving destination café caters to a diverse clientele; scientists, mountain bikers, tourists, locals - and their dogs! Fresh is best, we make all our own food daily, serving up wood-fired pizzas, big brunches, and tempting cabinet food. We also cater daily onsite meetings within the Scion campus and host private events in our beautiful space. Our sister cafe, Terrace Airside at Rotorua airport, gets a daily delivery of cabinet food from the Eastwood kitchen.
About You:
• A seasoned cafe chef with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A culinary collaborator, working alongside our Executive Chef to keep menus fresh and exciting. You'll be the mastermind behind our ever-evolving cabinet selection, ensuring freshness and customer satisfaction.
• A leader who thrives on hands-on cooking, inspiring your team by example.
• Weekend work is part of the role.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality control.
• Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including budgeting, inventory control, and staff scheduling.
• Contribute to the overall success of the cafe by working closely with the management team.
