Northern Districts Security (CDL Group Ltd) – Whangarei Guard Team Leader (Permanent - Full Time) We have an exciting opportunity to welcome a new Guard Team Leader to our Northern Districts Security whanau based in our office in CBD Whangarei. Reporting to the Operations Manager as a team leader to our guards, you will be dealing with a broad range of queries and requests from both clients and team members. You are the first point of call to resolve simple-to-medium enquiries focussed on delivering solutions promptly and efficiently. Northern Districts Security offers a wide range of security guard services, and you will help to support our team-members to deliver these services at the high standard that we pride ourselves on. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week with additional on-call hours to be discussed. You may be an existing guard looking for career development with a passion to support a team to be highly motivated and successful. Or you may bring experience from another industry allowing you to work well under pressure learning fast and responding quickly and accurately. You are passionate about providing the right outcomes for clients and resilient to the challenges of the security services industry. Guarantee full coverage of all shifts and manage deployment logistics as changes arise. Ensure all deployments within a 24-hour period are adequately staffed and managed. Support staff with inductions ongoing training, and development. Oversee the operational needs of staff equipment and some client services. Foster and maintain professional relationships with external clients. The successful candidate will. Have excellent organisational skill with an ability to think quickly and deploy solutions accurately. Be competent in an administrative environment bringing a strong computing background. Show leadership capabilities including strong negotiation skills. Be resilient to the challenges of the security services industry. Have a NZ Drivers License and the ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check. A current Certificate of Approval (COA) is preferred however we will assist the right candidate to obtain this.
