About the role: Reporting to our Group Risk and Assurance Manager and based in Christchurch (Hornby), we have a rare opportunity to join Westland Milk Products as our Group Internal Auditor, working at a YOBD group level.

Covering a wide range of systems and processes, this role will give you exposure at all levels, carrying out independent and objective assurance activities by conducting reviews of key business processes and providing quality information to assist business managers to achieve business objectives, manage and control business risk, and comply with regulatory requirements and company policy.
The role will champion risk management and internal control disciplines and educate the business on continuous improvement and best practice in this area.
As such, the Group Internal Auditor will require exceptional planning and relationship-building skills, good analytical and reporting abilities combined with a proactive and inquisitive approach.
Ideal applicants will possess: Minimum 2 years' experience in an internal/external auditing role e.g.
in a Big 4, large-medium tier CA firm, large corporate, or corporate accounting background A tertiary qualification (ideally) + Certified Internal Auditor or Chartered Accountant accreditation would be great (but not essential) A good understanding of risk and control concepts along with the ability to apply these concepts to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls to mitigate risk A good understanding of (and the ability to learn) a wide range of key business processes, including accounting principles and financial statements Strong analytical and reporting skills and well-developed technical skills in data analytics The ability to travel between sites when required What's in it for you?
