About you
If you're a person who loves working outdoors, takes pride in their work and has an interest in the presentation of the city's cemeteries, we have the role for you!
Located at the Kelvin Grove Cemetery, the Groundsperson - Cemetery is responsible for maintenance of cemetery grounds, assisting in the delivery of burial services to ensure that Council meets the needs of families and the funeral industry.
A high standard of presentation and attention to detail is important to us, but equally important is your ability to work alongside others and contribute to the team.
To be successful, you'll have experience working in a cemetery and/or parks maintenance, knowledge of the care and maintenance of small plant and machinery, and knowledge of industry standards. A current driver's license is essential.

What we offer:
This position is a Grade C or D depending on the experience and qualification of the applicant.
Grade C – Experienced and/or Level 3 qualified starting from $28.79 per hour.
Grade D – Level 4 qualification starting from $29.41 per hour, with a 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution (where eligible).
5 weeks annual leave and a community service day every year.
